The push targets four key domains: embodied intelligence, simulation, implementation, and solutions, according to a Monday post on its official WeChat account.

The Silicon Valley chip giant aims to build a "leading robotics platform and ecosystem" to accelerate autonomous machines from research labs into real-world deployment. The move comes as Chinese vendors dominate global robot shipments, making the market critical for Nvidia's ambitions.

Job descriptions reveal a focus on Nvidia's core technologies. Engineers will work on the Project GR00T humanoid robot foundation model, the Cosmos physical simulation world model, and GPU-accelerated computing platforms. These form an all-around robotics development ecosystem.

Specific roles include specialists in dexterous manipulation, whole-body control, robot learning, and AI systems optimization for humanoid robots. The hiring spree signals Nvidia's intent to deepen its footprint in a country where robotics innovation is surging.

China accounted for over 50% of global industrial robot installations in recent years, per the International Federation of Robotics. Nvidia's recruitment aligns with its strategy to provide the computational backbone for next-generation autonomous systems. The company's simulation and AI models are already used by leading Chinese robotics firms.

Industry analysts note that Nvidia faces competition from domestic players like Huawei and Baidu, who are developing their own AI chips and robotics platforms. However, Nvidia's GPU dominance and software ecosystem give it an edge in high-performance computing for complex robot training.
